Asad Choudry is the Director of Business Development and Product Management for Xylem’s Flygt/Transport division. He has more than 20 years of experience in the water and wastewater pump industry, with a background in applications engineering, global product management, and commercial leadership. Throughout his career, he has held positions with ITT Goulds Pumps, Sulzer, Grundfos, and Xylem.

In his current role, Asad oversees the Flygt large pump portfolio and works closely with engineering consultants, channel partners and distributors, and engineering and manufacturing teams in Sweden. His experience includes product strategy and portfolio management, consultant and specification relationships, channel management, and coordination across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams. He also has experience with regulatory and procurement issues affecting equipment manufacturers, including Buy America and Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements.

Asad is active in several water industry organizations, including the Water Environment Federation (WEF), the Water Research Foundation (WRF), the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA), the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA), and Hydraulic Institute committees. He also has experience speaking and participating on panels covering a range of water and wastewater industry topics.
